„Pitch & Thrive for Sustainability“ unser diesjähriges Sonderformat à la „Shark Tank“ in grün aka „Die Höhle der Löwen“, aber in nachhaltig. Aufgeteilt auf 4 Sessions werden jeweils 4 unternehmerische Ansätze zur Bewältigung der sozial-ökologischen Transformation vorgestellt und von unseren ausgewählten Juror*innen auf Herz und Nieren geprüft.
Nachhaltige Start-Ups und KMUs können hier ihre Projektideen und Geschäftsmodelle präsentieren. Im Anschluss gibt es wertvolles Feedback zur Nachhaltigkeit, der potentiellen Wirtschaftlichkeit und der technischen Umsetzung der Geschäftsidee. Die Bewertung erfolgt von einer Expert*innen-Jury und dem Publikum.

Die Start-Up-Teams:
1) Backdigital GmbH - Vom Mehl zum Brot: Nachhaltig
1,7 Millionen Tonnen Backwaren landen jährlich im Müll. Wir gehen das an. Das Ergebnis: die Vermeidung von Lebensmittelverschwendung, geringere Kosten für backende Betriebe und folglich geringere Preise für die Kund*innen. Nachhaltig. Digital. Engagiert.
2) Circonomit GmbH - Encourage environmental based decision making
Unsere Mission: Verknüpfung von Finanzprognosen mit der Optimierung von Umweltauswirkungen (LCA) in einem mehrdimensionalen Optimierungsmodell, das eine nachhaltige, datengestützte Entscheidungsfindung in täglichen Geschäftsprozessen in Echtzeit ermöglicht.
3) Netiket
Netiket is an enterprise SaaS service, 100% open source, launching at the end of 2022. Its main focus is on domain-specific middle-sized systems for the sustainable and creative sectors.
4) Timeprints
A milestone towards enforcing privacy laws and fighting digital injustice is to report the massive data collection practices that don't respect privacy nor dignity and lead to more consumption. To enable capturing these practices, let's make the computations and digital executions have timeprints!

Johanna ist Referentin für Digitalisierung und Klimaschutz bei Germanwatch.
Yvonne Zwick, Dipl.theol., Vorsitzende des B.A.U.M. e.V. Zuvor war sie Stellvertretende Generalsekretärin des Rates für Nachhaltige Entwicklung und Leiterin des Büro Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitskodex. Sie arbeitet als Expertin in der Expertenarbeitsgruppe KMU der European Financial Reporting Advisory Group – EFRAG mit, die den europäischen Nachhaltigkeitsberichtsstandard für mittelständische Unternehmen ausarbeitet, ist Mitglied im Nominierungsausschuss des DRSC e.V. und nebenberufliche Lehrbeauftragte an der Universität Mannheim.
B.A.U.M. e.V. als1984 gegründeter Verband ist heute mit über 730 Mitgliedern eine starke Stimme für nachhaltiges Wirtschaften in Europa. Dieses Jahr ist geprägt von unserer eigenen Twin Transition.
Yvonne Zwick, theologian and Chairwoman of B.A.U.M. e.V. since 1.1.2021, has held various positions in the office of the German Council for Sustainable Development since 2004. Most recently, she was Deputy Secretary General and Head of the German Sustainability Code Office. She works as an expert in the SME expert working group of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group - EFRAG, which is developing the European sustainability reporting standard for SMEs, is a member of the Nominating Committee of DRSC e.V. and a part-time lecturer at the University of Mannheim.
Frank Karlitschek is a long time open source contributor and privacy activist. He contributed to KDE and other free software projects since the end of the 90s and was a board member of the KDE e.V. He is a regular keynote speaker at conferences.
He managed engineering teams for over 20 years and worked as head of unit and managing director at different internet companies. 2007 he founded a startup which develops social networking and e-commerce products for several fortune 500 companies. Over the years he helped several startups with management consulting and investments to bootstrap and build successful products.
Frank launched several initiatives over the years to make the internet more secure and more federated. Examples are the open collaboration services and the user data manifesto.
In 2010 he started the ownCloud project, developed and released the first version and lead the project since then. In 2011 he co-founded ownCloud Inc. to offer commercial services around ownCloud. In 2016 he left ownCloud together with the core team and founded Nextcloud as successor to bring the vision to the next level. He currently serves as CEO at Nextcloud GmbH.
Dr. Felicitas Breitenbach ist studierte Ingenieurin und promovierte Betriebswirtin. Aktuell arbeitet sie bei Accenture GMbH als Strategie-Beraterin im Bereich Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie.
